About

Hiya!  I’m originally from Toronto and moved to Vancouver to be in a different landscape filled with fresh air, beautiful mountains and the ocean.  Although I do miss my concrete jungle home, BC has opened my eyes to local and organic foods and thus my food adventures began.

I always have food on the brain, from local and organic sources, hot spots around town, and what I’m going to eat next because I can get seriously hangry (hungry = angry).  I like to make things that are irresistibly tasty but actually healthy!

Most of this blog is about food since I’m utterly obsessed but there is a smattering of arty things, crafty projects, random musings and of course my cat is part of the adventures.

I just like to share what I love and hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

I loved your class last night! I can’t wait to try some recipes at home and share a post about it in my own blog too. I told so many people about it already, thank you for the recipe book and link to your fantastic blog!! Love it all!

Thanks Jeanette, I’m so glad that you enjoyed the class! Come visit me at the Farmer’s Market at Nat Bailey starting the first week of November on Saturday, we can gab more about canning recipes and I can hook you up with some amazing produce!

Serena!!! Do you make hats for adults, too? Winter is upon us, and my head is cold. -Lauren

Of course I do! How long are you sticking around for? I brought you a wee white bear hat but didn’t see you at the market. I’ll be heading to the Winter’s Market Nov 6 but will be away after that…call me!
