I’m not sure why I’ve never come into this restaurant while I was living in Toronto before.  It’s quaint with a mishmash of nostalgic furniture and decorations with a vintage store vibe.  Food is great, reasonable priced and the coffee is excellent!

I especially love the old adverts decorating the walls.  A classic green chalkboard displays the daily specials.

Now the wallpaper of my iPhone, directly across from our table was a piece of drywall partially covering a brick wall underneath.  How amazing is that airplane wallpaper?!?!?

On to brunch, my friend ordered up one of the breakfast combos that let you choose a bunch of different things.  He chose the hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, peameal bacon and cottage cheese (which for the record, I thought was weird).  Turned out the portion was pretty great, nothing entirely special but a good breakfast nonetheless.

I went for the special!  Chipotle lime glazed pork loin with eggs and a side salad.  Thank goodness the salad wasn’t all iceberg lettuce with a few sad shreds of carrot.  The pork loin was very tender with a hint of chipotle.  The red peppers were soft and quite delicious, adding a bit of sweetness to every bite.  Served up with some big chunks of challah bread, this brunch was exactly what I wanted!
