pull-apart fruit blossom from re-entry espresso….

17 May

Oh my word, am I glad I stopped in to Re-Entry Espresso for a snack.  On a quick trip to buy some roller derby tickets, I was feeling kinda hungry and stopped by this cute little retro cafe.  Space shuttle garbage cans and chrome details, this shop was pretty low key and not very busy.

In their glass container on their counter, there were a stack of these lovely pastries.  The croissant base was of the best kind, super flakey, buttery and melt in your mouth.  They made a nice compote of raspberries and blueberries that were a little tart and randomly in between the flakes were slivers of almonds.  Incredibly delicious!

About the size of a large cinnamon bun, this little guy cost $3.75 and I was told their pastry dough comes from Thomas Haas.  Another place that I still have to go visit!

If you’re ever on Main Street, don’t forget to stop by this little cafe at 4363 Main Street!
