raid your freezer creamy garlic shrimp with green peas….

Uncomplicated dinners on the fly aren’t always my specialty but sometimes choosing simple ingredients makes it easier to make a quick recipe!  With no cutting involved and quick cooking frozen seafood and veggies, I whipped this up in less than 30 minutes.  Here’s the recipe!

What you need!
4 cups of cooked white shrimp
2 cups of frozen green peas
2 cups of milk
2 tbsp of butter
5 garlic cloves minced
olive oil
5 cups of cooked rice

What to do!

1.  In a saucepan on medium-high heat, drizzle some olive oil and add the minced garlic.  Cook until aromatic!  Add the milk and butter and bring to a boil.

2.  Add the shrimp and simmer for 3-4 minutes.

3.  Add the green peas and simmer for another 3-4 minutes.  Salt and pepper to taste!  Your sauce is done, and can now be drenched over a bowl of rice!

If you would like a thicker sauce, you can do one of two things.  Replace the milk with cream or in a small bowl, add 2 tbsp of corn starch with 4 tbsp of water, stir well, and gradually add it to the sauce while stirring.

Approx Costs:

shrimp – $4.00
peas – $0.50
milk – $0.50
rice – $1.00

Total – $6.00 for 3 servings or $2.00 per person
