kickin’ it old school with retro polaroid snap frames by Umbra…

25 Mar

We all know that vintage cameras and film prints are SO hipster…so Umbra jumped on the bandwagon and made these Snap Frames in three colours (red, black, white).  Who are we kidding, the original white is the bee’s knees.

I bought these  in January when I was visiting Toronto for a couple of weeks at Kitchen Stuff Plus for $20 and since I’ve put them up, I’ve received a million compliments (ok maybe more like 5) of how cool they are.  They’re actually quite simple white plastic frames where you can slide your own 3.5×3.5 pic in.  They advertise that you can use a Sharpie and write at the bottom for full authentic-ness.  There are tacks to hammer into your walls and the frame just well…snaps on.

I ended up buying a second set to expand it to the next wall.

They’re all slightly curved so it gives them a rad floating effect.

Nine frames comes in a set and they also come in a magnet version to stick on your fridge and other metal things.  Umbra makes a series of these floating wall decor from stylized flowers to dragonflys…you’ll be making a lot of tiny holes in your walls but the final result is an organic flow of awesomeness.

I love those frames and that’s why I bought my own set. But, how come I don’t see a pic of me in those photos?
